This Contours Riesling is produced from grapes from old vines farmed on there coolest slope within this ruggedly beautiful single vineyard. Bottle ageing for 5. Years before release transforms fresh lemon and floral Riesling rosy pasties into a complex wine of limes and brioche, with minerality. This wine will develop even more richness and complexity over future decades.

The 2009 Riesling The Contours displays a slowly evolving nose of preserved lemons, kumquat, lime leaves and lemongrass with touches of fresh hay and shaved almonds. Dry and light-bodied as always, it is just coming into its drinking window offering approachable freshness and tons of dried citrus peel and minerally flavors, finishing with great persistence.
