HK$1320 / Bottle

Maison Joseph Drouhin is a French wine producer based in Burgundy that was founded in 1880. The estate owns vineyards in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, as well as in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Drouhin is also one of the major négociants of Burgundy, and produces wines made from purchased grapes grown in different parts of Burgundy. Today both Maison Joseph Drouhin and Domaine Drouhin Oregon are owned and operated by the great grandchildren of Joseph Drouhin. Beaune

Clos des Mouches Joseph Drouhin is made from grapes grown in the Clos des Mouches, a Beaune Premier Cru vineyard of the Côte de Beaune. Clos de Mouches is a Premier Cru vineyard within the commune of Beaune, and was purchased by Drouhin in the 19th Century, which produces both red and white wines.

Tasting Note:
James Suckling 96 points!
This is a mind-bending white that blends richness and energy. Loads of dried ripe fruits, toffee, citrus and hints of toasted oak and creme. Full-bodied, dense and powerful with amazing intensity and length. The vivacity and compression of this wine is really so, so exciting. Don´t miss this.

Tasting Note:
Wine Spectator 93 points!
Alluring aromas of citronella, buttered pastry and vanilla introduce this supple, harmonious white. Grace notes of lemon and toast add depth, while a mineral element chimes in on the long finish. Drink now through 2023.

Tasting Note:
International Wine Cellar 93 points!
Bright yellow. Gingery peach, toast, crushed stone and smoky minerality on the slightly reduced nose. Rich, sweet and plush, with a touch of spice to the ripe, smoky stone fruit flavors. Boasts an almost glyceral sweetness today, but this very young wine needs time in bottle to lose some of its baby fat. Philippe Drouhin notes that this wine always gets reductive during elevage and that this quality takes at least a year in bottle to dissipate. He likes Clos des Mouches old, pointing out that the 2004 and 2002 bottlings are still young. But then Drouhin admits that he generally prefers older wines because he dislikes the aromas and flavors of new oak.
