Masi´s production strategy aims to emphasize the personality of each single product, while maintaining a recognizable Venetian style. In 1958, Masi was in the forefront of the work to identify the historic "cru" vineyard sites for Amarone. In 1964, Campofiorin was the first in a new category of wines, reinventing the technique of double fermentation and continually updating it. Masi has also updated the style of Amarone, using new appassimento and vinification technologies.

Masi wines are modern, attractive, well-balanced and easily identifiable; characteristics which have earned Masi recognition for having "revolutionized the art of wine-making in the Venetian region." Hugh Johnson defines Masi as "a touchstone for Veronese wines."

Tasting Note:
Doctor Wine 94 points!
A true champion, incredible for how young it seems. The color is a dark ruby that is amazingly bright for a 24-year-old wine. The aroma is very thick and intense with a fruity streak that is still bold and vigorous. There is currant, black cherry and blackberry, even under spirits. There are also nuances of yellow and white peach as well as a well-defined floral bouquet with violet and lily of the valley. The tannins are of an excellent quality and totally at home in the opulent flavor sustained by a wonderful acidity. The finish is consistent, broad and intense and corresponds with the aroma. Very good.

Tasting Note:
Wine Spectator 90 points!
Very fragrant aromas of dried roses and cherries lead to a powerful, complex and flavorful young Amarone that´s balanced and harmonious. Although delicious now for its exuberant fruit, it has another 20 years of development ahead.
